The Streamwood Celebration 2012

For three days, I stood in lines in sweaty Hot weather, so my daughter could enjoy all the kiddie rides at the Streamwood Celebration, which is held every year. It was fun, sure. It is also so annoyingly limited, I wonder why they even bother to go through all the trouble to have it in the first place.

It is held for only three measly days over the weekend, and then even those days are not full days. There is actually only one full day - Saturday. (They had a nice 20 minute fireworks show Saturday) The Friday before that, it began at 5 PM. Then Sunday it began at noon. Jeez! They offer $18 wristbands for "unlimited" rides, then they quickly end that at 4PM, requiring you to purchase tickets if you want your kids to continue enjoying the rides. Come on Streamwood "Celebration" people, can't you at least make it a full week if you're going to pull that crap??

If it wasn't for my daughter, I probably wouldn't be very interested in this "event". Even if I was, I could blink and it would be over before I could even get there.  :)
